Narrowly missing a rapper One of the many things I hate about being forced to move to Jersey City for work is how I'm at the mercy of a Ferry schedule, how my life has become one rush after another rush, got to make the connections, must add on more stress than one need to.
Anyway, Friday night, I'm coming home and I'm rushing for the ferry. I can tell they are just waiting for me to get on before taking off. (They were good enough to wait this time, often they don't even bother.)
And I can see at the heliport, a helicopter was ready to take off, some posse of rapper dressed folks are heading over that way, I know it's something famous, but I don't really know my rappers. I rush right past them (must have been no more than 10 feet away at one point if that far) and it was pratically by the time I'm on the ferry did I find out I rushed right by Eninem and his posse. I try to take a better look but my chance had past. Not that it matters that I had my camera with me, since you can't take pictures from the pier (another peeve for another day), but I would have missed my ferry had I tried.
So that was a brush of celebrity... even if here was no proof of it.
Inital Post So here I am, woken up by work to do some late night work. As usual.
Once I'm up, I'm up. Having spent the weekend chating with my friends about blogs, I figured I'd start my own and see what happens.
It's a good venue for the editorials I've been meaning to write, so, more to come.
